Twin Lakes High School

Hello. Well it may be one of those nights. Sleep is not coming to me. So I thought I would write.

The past few days I have received email’s from some wonderful high school friends. A shout out to all my friends from Twin Lakes H.S. located in West Palm Beach, FL. I spend some of my best years at TL (1980-84). It has been great catching up with all these folks. To see how they have been blessed. To hear about family. To see the career paths they have taken and the success they have each experienced. To hear some of the challenges they have overcome.

Twin Lakes H.S. was an awesome school to attend. It was so diverse. It was so open. No gates. No locks. It was a place to grow and meet people who truly changed my life. It was a family. Not just among the student body, but also with staff and faculty. Teachers and staff that made sure we were doing what we were suppose to be doing. Thank you. I do not believe you find that in most schools today. Everybody is worried about test and themselves. At Twin Lakes, students were worried about doing well academically, but we were more concerned about our fellow students. It was a different time. I wish today’s students could experience what I did in my 4 wonderful years at Twin Lakes High School.

If you are ever in West Palm Beach, FL go by and see the school on the hill. It is no longer Twin Lakes H.S. It is now the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. If you listen closely, you may even hear the laughter of students who walked the halls of good old Twin Lakes High School. Go Rams!
